you know you're old when......

1. you finally get the chance to SLEEP IN until 11:30 am or so, and you feel guilty that you did. this never used to happen in high school....

2. you go to a concert with crowd surfing and you think outloud, "that is SO dangerous!!!!! don't they realize that they could get dropped and people can get crushed??!!! why would they DO that?!!!!!"

3. you see high schoolers or spend time with high schoolers and find it nearly impossible to understand them or relate to their silly little dramas (but you still love them :)).

4. you go to a coffee shop with friends to just sit and read (different books, although storytime doesn't sound too bad either ;)).

5. you realize that you will always be a kid in some of your simple joys and pleasures, and that you never fully want to "grow up" as you once thought was so important in the middle school and high school years.

any more thoughts??? comment away!

Ann! I can't wait to come see you in COMO! I agree. Crowd-surfing is dangerous, high school drama is silly, and coffee-shop reading is fun. However, I don't feel the slightest bit guilty when I sleep in until 11:30. Perhaps this is because I am unemployed and have nothing better to do. :)

"Not to put too fine a point on it, say I'm the only bee in your bonnet. Put a little birdhouse in your soul..." Fun story about TMBG... when I was in 7th grade, I had a teacher in my typing class that would play "particle man" and "birdhouse" and we would have to type to the rhythm. How weird/funny is that? I hope you enjoyed the concert. +Megan
